| Introduction |
MELCROSS-86 resin is a partially
n-butylated benzoguanamine formaldehyde resin primarily
for solvent based systems.
M-86 resin will react with hydroxyl, amide, carboxyl
and thio functional polymers or resins.
Its most significant advantage over the other amino
resins in our product line is its superior water,
corrosion and chemical resistance properties.
In a formulated system its stability would depend
on the acid content of the system.
Buffers or organic amine addition to the formu ?lation
can improve storage stability.

The advantages of M-86 is fast cure response,
strong acid catalyst is not required, good flow,
leveling, and wetting properties, good heat resistance.
Typical cure: 130 deg.C x 15 minute.

| Safety |
General
Attention must be paid to the normal precautions
for handling chemicals and to the measures prescript
in the local health regulations. The work place
must be well ventilated, skin care measures should
be adapted and safety google should be worn. |

| Storage |
If MELCROSS-86 is kept in tightly closed drums
or in storage tanks in the cool place, its shelf
life is 12 months.
