This resin is a very effective crosslinking agent for backbone polymers containing hydroxyl,  carboxyl  or amide functional groups such as epoxy, alkyd/polyester or acrylic resins.

MELCROSS-83 resin is insoluble in water.    Due to its hydrophobic nature, this resin has to be dissolved initially in the organic phase of the water reducible backbone polymers.

Introduction
MELCROSS-83 resin is suitable for a wide range of general industrial stoving finishes, providing high detergent and chemical resistance properties.

Designed for Can coating with polyester and epoxy resin.
98% high solids type resin have Excellent detergent resistance and chemical resistance, salt spray resistance.
Methylated/Ethylated type Benzoguanamine resin gives very good hardness and nontoxic films for foods and drinks.
MELCROSS-83 resin dissolves very well in the solvents of alcohols, ketones, esters and aromatic hydrocarbons but partially in aliphatic hydrocarbons and not solves in water.
The compatibility with alkyd resins, polyester resins, acrylic resins and epoxy resins is very good.
Storage stabily at room temperatures is minimum one year after delivery. 
Avoid direct sunshine and store at minimum 5°C.  At lower temperatures crystallization may occur.
Acid catalyzed coatings may be cured as low as 140-160°C for 20 minutes.
To control the stability, you can use primary alcohols,  amins or with combination of these for neutralization and PH adjustment.

Attention must be paid to the normal precautions for handling chemicals and to the measures prescript in the local health regulations.  The work place must be well ventilated, skin care measures should be adapted and safety google should be worn.

    Storage
If MELCROSS-83 is kept in tightly closed drums or in storage tanks in the cool place, its shelf life is 12 months.
